DC Microgrid Utilizing Artificial Intelligence and Phasor Measurement Unit Assisted Inverter

Community microgrids are set to change the landscape of future energy markets. The technology is being deployed in many cities around globe. However, a wide-scale deployment faces three major issues: initial synchronization with utility grids, slip management during its operation, and mitigation distortions produced by inverter. This paper proposes Phasor Measurement Unit (PMU) Assisted Inverter (PAI) that addresses these issues single solution. proposed PAI continually receives real-time data from installed distribution system company keeps constructing reference signal for To validate concept, unique intelligent DC microgrid architecture employs also presented, alongside cloud-based Artificial Intelligence (AI), which harnesses community shared resources, such as batteries community’s rooftop solar resources. results show produces quality output 98.5% efficient.
